Basics of First Aid with the UP FHS Institute of Medical Rescue
During the activity, interested persons will be able to try out life-saving actions in the sense of basic resuscitation, including the use of AED. There will also be an opportunity to try first aid for a small child. The drills will be held in 30-minute blocks for about 15 people each time. The first drill will start at 10:00.
Registration for the activity is not required.
Optometric examination
The activity is traditionally organized by the Department of Optics of the Faculty of Science of UP and will offer those interested the opportunity to have their eyesight checked. The activity will include testing of visual functions of the eye and measurement of intraocular pressure. Consultation on individual refractive errors of the eye and the possibility of their correction will also be offered.

Podiatry care
Podiatry is a discipline focusing on the feet, their static and dynamic examination followed by treatment. It deals with the prevention and treatment of painful conditions and functional disorders of the feet. The activity will include an examination on a podoscope, a diagnostic tool for assessing orthopaedic foot defects.

Dermatological examination
Dermatology is a medical speciality that deals with diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases of the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. During the activity, the doctor will examine the moles and assess their risk; if necessary, further treatment can be consulted.

Body composition analysis using the TANITA device
Body composition analysis using the TANITA device helps monitor physical health, plan diet or fitness programs, monitor progress in weight loss or muscle gain, and assess risks associated with obesity or malnutrition. It is a method used to measure and evaluate various body components such as body fat, muscle mass, body water or basal metabolic rate and visceral fat.
The activity will be provided by the Women "Like a Wand" Fitness Center, a university partner that offers discounted services to female employees.

Ergonomics in the workplace
Sitting for long periods is an extreme static load on the human body that causes many to experience lower back pain, cervical spine pain, headaches, etc. The activity's beginning will explain correct and poor posture and why specific muscles shorten and weaken. This will be followed by a practical test of posture correction in sitting (the so-called corrected sitting), the correct breathing stereotype and a 10-minute compensatory exercise consisting of relaxation, stretching and strengthening exercises.
- Registration for the activity is not required, the maximum capacity for practical training is 15 people.
Hula hoop practice with UP Academic Sport Centre
The exercise offers a fun way to strengthen the whole body and will be led by an experienced instructor.

Studio Relax u Pandy
The University's employee benefits partner will offer employees the opportunity to try out several health-promoting relaxation devices.

We ask that you choose a maximum of 2 appointments to allow as many colleagues as possible to participate in the Health Day. Please take care that your times do not conflict with each other. If you book more than one event on the system, your third and subsequent bookings may be deleted. Please ensure you arrive early for your appointment. If you do not arrive on time, the appointment will be made available for any interested parties on site.
