You can look forward to traditional punch (with alcohol and alcohol-free), light refreshments from Accommodation and Dining Services, and an accompanying programme. The university choir Ateneo, singer-songwriter Dan Vertígo, and DJ Endeek will provide the musical portion.

During the event, the first Special Awards for Non-Academic Employees will also be presented at 2 pm. 

You will also be offered the opportunity to create an original notepad with UP Press or a keychain on the 3D printer of geoinformaticians from the Faculty of Science. The University's UPoint shop will be on-site to introduce and offer a new range of products and Christmas packages. Animators from Fort Science will demonstrate unconventional experiments and selected exhibits and puzzles.

Colleagues from the Division for International Cooperation will be available on site to guide you through the Advent afternoon and to keep you company if needed.

Special Awards for Non-Academic Employees | 14:00

A significant part of UP employees work in technical-economic and manual positions. Although their work is often taken for granted or invisible, they are essential to the support infrastructure. The ceremony of presenting the Special Awards for Non-Academic Employees by the UP Rector will take place at 2 pm.

Ateneo Mixed Chamber Choir | 15:00, 16:25

During the afternoon, a selection of Christmas songs and carols will be performed by the university choir Ateneo, composed of students of our university under the direction of Associate Professor Režný.

Premiere of a unique student film celebrating 450 years of the university | 15:25, 16:00, 16:30, 17:00, 17:30

A 450-second film about the University. Three student crews drew for one of the day's segments, each producing a near-documentary piece of 150 seconds. Together, the result symbolizes the age of the University of Olomouc. However, each part is a distinct film work representing the view of a sub-crew - originally from the Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology, Arts and Education. The production and post-production was supervised by the head of the editing department at FAMU in Prague, Tomáš Doruška, who gave valuable advice and experience to the students.

Dan Vertígo | 15:20, 17:00

Dan is a cross-genre singer-songwriter from Olomouc living in Smichov. He has released two albums, released numerous music videos, and performs solo and with a band. In the cauldron, he mixes the influences of artists such as Traband, Mňága, ZNC, Fixa, Green Day and Nirvana. Expect a melodic whirlwind, a booming kick and boundless improvisation!

3D printing with the Department of Geoinformatics

Demonstration of technologies from the Department of Geoinformatics, UP Faculty of Science. For example, you can see the 3D printer, learn about the technology and take away some of the models directly. Attractive interactive 3D models and maps will also be available for the public. A thermocamera will measure the degree to which you are warmed up by the university punch.

Fort Science

Animators from the Fort Science will showcase dozens of puzzles and exhibits from our interactive science museum. There will also be a fire and ice experiment and other fun.

UP Press

Did you know that creating an original UP notepad only takes a few minutes? Under the supervision of our students, you will be able to try your bookbinding skills throughout the afternoon with the result of a unique UP notepad.

The Peace Light of Bethlehem
From approximately 3 pm you will be able to take your own Bethlehem Light from the courtyard of the Zbrojnice/Armoury. After that, the lantern will be available until 22 December in the passage by the Zbrojnice/Armoury gate.
