Rector Martin Procházka cordially invites all university employees to an informal gathering before the holidays in the university's heart–the UP Library courtyard. You can look forward to meeting colleagues from parts of the university and attending an accompanying programme. Together, we will announce the winners of the autumn Roll Up Your Sleeves inter-faculty challenge to promote free blood donations, and the UP Rector will present this year's Special Merit Awards to Non-Academic Employees nominated by their home faculties, the Rector's Office, CATRIN, and the Accommodation and Dining Facilities. Olomouc Archbishop Josef Nuzík will also honour us with his visit and will bring the Peace Light of Bethlehem to the Armoury courtyard for visitors and the university.
Punches of all kinds will be served to warm you up, as well as small treats from the Accommodation and Dining Office. The Ateneo university choir and singer-songwriter Klára Katrušáková will provide the Christmas musical programme. The pre-gift-giving creative mood will be supported by handicraft workshops by the Palacký University Press and the UP Faculty of Education. Holiday offerings from UPoint will be on sale, too.
