6. April 2022, 17:00–18:30

Lecture

Israel has signed a peace agreement with several MENA countries in the past two years. These agreements, called the Abrahamic Accords, have created an opportunity for peace in the Middle East with countries that share common interests with Israel, such as security challenges. Dr. Yossi Mann's lecture at the Department of Jewish Studies will deal with the factors for peace agreements between Israel and the Arab Gulf and the economic and political potential for various countries following the new discourse in the region.

Dr. Yossi Mann is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Middle East in Bar Ilan University and the Lauder School of Government at Reichman University. He also the head of “Israel and the Arab Gulf Program” at the Abba Eban Institute. He served as the Head of the Middle Eastern Program at the Reichman University, Head of the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at Bar Ilan University, and as a consultant to the Israeli government in various fields of his expertise.
