The Ministry of the Interior announced the Open Calls for Security Research 2023-2029

The Ministry of the Interior has announced the second public competition in research, experimental development and innovation within the Programme of Security Research of the Czech Republic 2023-2029 (Programme VI). The aim of the programme is to support projects that will contribute to greater security and resilience of the Czech Republic to current and future threats.

The competition is aimed at applied research projects and is divided into the following sub-programmes: 

  • Subprogramme 1: Development of law enforcement capabilities;
  • Subprogramme 2: Crisis preparedness of security and rescue forces;
  • Subprogramme 3: Resilient society.

The expected duration of the projects is 3 to 5 years and the expected start of the projects is from January 2026.

The deadline for submission of project proposals is set for May 28,2025.
