Upcoming Capitalisation Call in the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme

Monday 14 April 2025, 9:05

On 29 September 2025, a new call will be launched for the Capitalisation Call under the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE programme.

The call is aimed atcapitalising anddisseminating the results of previous projects, and primarily with the aim of:

  • extend the impact of existing project outputs (e.g. to other regions),
  • transfer proven approaches to new contexts,
  • link and integrate the results of multiple projects across Central European regions.

A budget of €23 million from the ERDF is allocated for this call. A simplified selection process and the implementation of short-term projects with a duration of approximately 12 months are expected.

The call is primarily intended for institutions that have already participated in Interreg projects in the past - both transnational (CENTRAL EUROPE) and cross-border. Project proposals can be submitted in the following priorities:

  • Priority 1: Cooperating for a smarter central Europe
  • Priority 2: Cooperating for a greener central Europe
  • Priority 3: Cooperating for a better connected central Europe
  • Priority 4: Improving governance for cooperation in central Europe

Minimum requirement is that projects explicitly adopt existing outputs and outcomes at a minimum:

  • from the two Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE projects funded under the first and second calls of the 2021-2027 programme; and
  • from two Interreg cross-border cooperation projects concerning the internal Central European borders.

The deadline for submission of project proposals is set for 27 November 2025.

More information can be found on the official website of the programme.
