The sixth annual international conference CZEDUCON was held at the O2 Universum in Prague, thanks to the excellent organization of the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research, in the presence of distinguished guests such as the Director of Czech National Agency for International Education and Research, Michal Uhl, the President of the Institute of International Education, Sarah Ilchman, and the Chairwoman of the Czech Rectors' Office, Professor Milena Králíčková.
CZEDUCON is the only platform of its kind in our country, connecting experts and workers in the field of internationalization in higher education. The conference gives hundreds of guests from the Czech Republic and abroad a unique opportunity to participate in lectures and active discussions with experts in this field and to jointly contribute to the development of international cooperation and higher education. The main thematic areas of this year's educational event, which was also attended by representatives of the Division for International Cooperation and the faculties of Palacký University, focused on internationalization for all, the digital age, well-being, and cooperation on and off campus. Dozens of lectures stimulated lively discussions and the sharing of good and bad experiences (not only in the aforementioned areas) among representatives of Czech universities and international guests.
The conference also included the active participation of representatives of Palacký University. The Head of the Welcome Office RUP, Alena Vyskočilová, and Pavel Flekač prepared an interesting lecture on the importance of prevention and mental health, in which they introduced the Welcome to Well-being: A Journey to your Mental Harmony program - a series of workshops for international students, organized by the Welcome Office in cooperation with experts in the spring of 2024.
The opportunities that CZEDUCON offers with its professionalism and expertise are key to the strategy of the Division for International Cooperation of the UP and for the education of our employees. We would like to thank the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research for organizing and allowing us to be part of this unique event.
