Concluding a comprehensive pre-academic Orientation Week at Palacký University Olomouc has been truly enriching. We extended a warm welcome to hundreds of exchange and degree students participating in Erasmus+, GLODEP programmes, and various others, offering them an immersive introduction to our university's departments, values, and the support we provide.
The impeccable coordination among the organizing departments, with a special mention of the Office for Mobility, and our Welcome Office, was a standout feature. Notably, our collaboration extended to the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, where we delivered an extensive array of information alongside insights from the Centre for Special Needs, currently directed by Ms. Lucie Flekačová.
Responding to the overwhelming student interest, our Welcome Office celebrated a significant milestone by hosting the Welcome Office International Days. Furthermore, the week-long event was notably enhanced by an exceptional presentation led by our esteemed colleague, Pavel Flekač, who was responsible for delivering the Welcome Office services presentation and also provided valuable information to students regarding the complex aspects of residency proceedings.
Students didn't just immerse themselves in academics; they also had the opportunity to explore Olomouc's rich history and vibrant society during the sightseeing tour led by Mr. Brzobohatý. Our values transcend mere knowledge, thriving at the very heart of this wonderful university city.
Looking forward, the Welcome Office team, including Pavel Flekač, Viktor Slávik, Jan Brzobohatý, Jan Orság, and our head director, Alena Vyskočilová, holds a deep sense of optimism for the upcoming orientation days.
