With respect to current developments in the situation regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus and in conjunction with the loosening of crisis measures by the Czech government, Rector Jaroslav Miller has lifted the ban on domestic and foreign travel for UP employees, as of 27 April 2020.
Decisions as to whether work-related travel will take place and under what conditions are up to individual faculties and their deans; for university organs, the decisions will be up to their directors.
In planning work-related travel, nevertheless do please consider whether the trip is necessary – with respect to the possible risk of infection and to the fact that the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs is still not recommending travel abroad. In planning such trips, follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, the Czech Ministry of Health, and the specifics of the individual countries involved. It is necessary to also consider the possible repercussions connected with your return to the Czech Republic (incl. possible quarantine and the necessity to undergo testing), which are present have not yet been wholly determined.
During work-related travel, observe all hygienic regulations in effect, and use personal protective equipment and disinfectant.
Work-related trips can be undertaken only after proper approval of the trip by all relevant authorisers in the UP electronic travel orders system.
