Regime at UP Library and faculty branches from 16 October 2020

Wednesday 14. October 2020, 13:50

In conjunction with government and Palacký University measures, there will be changes in the university library hours starting from Friday, 16 October at both the main library (Zbrojnice – Armoury) and faculty library branches. As of 16 October, the library can be visited only for borrowing and returning books, and scanning, copying, and printing. UP library premises cannot be used for studying. The night study room in the Zbrojnice will close on 14 October 2020 at 10 pm.

To compensate, the UP Library will again make it possible to borrow normally non-circulating books for one week. Books can be returned at libraries or into the “biblioboxes” (in front of the porter’s lodge at the Zbrojnice, in front of the Faculty of Medicine, in front of the Faculty of Science at the Envelopa campus, and in front of the Faculty of Physical Culture). In extraordinary circumstances, and with prior permission via e-mail at vypujcka@upol.cz, it will also be possible to return books by registered mail.

The maximum number of books a student can borrow is 15. UP Library operations will still be run according the UP Library Rules in effect, including penalties for exceeding the borrowing period and late return of books (circulating and non-circulating).

Details about the regimes at individual library branches, including contact information, can be found on the UP Library website.
