Yesterday, in the premises in building no. 47 of the Faculty of Science in Olomouc-Holice the FreshUP bistro was opened. It will complement and enrich the operations of the Holice canteen with its operating hours and offer of refreshments provided by UP Accommodation and Dining Services.

“On the ground floor of the building, the bistro premises are connected to the self-study and seating area located in the corridor around the auditorium. Visitors can sit either on bean bags in the cascading southern extension, or on benches lined with soft cushions along the walls,” said Michal Karták from the Building and Development Office of the UP Rectorate.

The bistro offers the complete assortment which students and staff are used to from the bistros at the Envelopa building and other faculties. “We offer several types of coffee, including decaffeinated, and for vegetarians we provide soy milk. We prepare several types of sandwiches, buns, breads and spreads, sourdough breads, salads, and, in normal operation, even soups. The offer is geared to carnivores as well as vegetarians and vegans,” added Marcela Černohouzová, Head Manager of the FreshUP bistro.

Currently, the bistro is open from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm; in addition to cash, payment can be made via ISIC card, UP employee card, or meal vouchers.
